Exciting NHSDA Final Project Opportunities

Congratulations to all who submitted a final NHSDA project that was featured at the showcase the other weekend!

Inspired by all of your hard work and creativity, I mentioned all of the artwork and media projects you completed to Cristina Burwell, the Executive Director for the whole Munroe Center. She is responsible for curating all of the art exhibits in the building, as well as updating the whole Munroe community about what its residents have been up to. Cristina is thrilled at the prospect of putting together a small exhibit of your artwork, as well as including some of your projects in the May newsletter.

If you are interested in submitting any of your work, please email Nicole and/ or Sarah ASAP!! Submissions for the newsletter (pics of the NHSDA event, digital copies of your artwork, or electronic links to your work) should be submitted by tomorrow. Cristina would like to send the newsletter out by Wednesday morning. There is not as much of a rush to submit artwork for the gallery, but, the sooner the better!

Costume Return:

Costume return is taking place in Lexington on Saturday, June 15th from 9:00 am-12:45 pm. Please review the *LEGACY COSTUME RETURN SHEET 2024 carefully and follow any/ all washing instructions.

PLEASE ALSO BRING BACK THE PINK CROP TOP FROM DWC IF YOU PERFORMED!

*If you happen to find items that were previously supposed to be returned but somehow never made it back to the studio, please bring those with you on the 15th, as well!!
*A CRUCIAL COSTUME NOTE: please do not ever donate or throw away costume pieces that you aren’t asked to return. Instead, if you know you don’t want to store them at your house, just bring them back to us! We often look to reuse dancer-owned costumes from the prior season. If some dancers get rid of their items, though, we don’t have said costumes as an option 😦

If you are unable to return costumes on June 15th, you must contact Sarah (nhsdadanceinn@gmail.com) prior to that date to come up with an appropriate alternative plan. All costumes not returned by June 15th without prior approval are subject to a $10 late fee per item.

Banquet/ Captain Elections:

Based on senior availability, we will host our banquet on Tuesday, June 18th this year! Adrienne Brown has offered to host at her house this year from 2:00-4:00 pm. Please be sure to RSVP whether or not you can make it. I will email the exact address when we get closer to the event.

This will be a potluck style event, so please sign up to bring something ASAP!

We will continue with our tradition of holding captain election speeches at banquet this year. Please begin to consider whether or not you are interested in running for company co-captain. If you are planning to run, email Nicole ASAP.
